General Motors is the largest automotive company in the world, having been the global sales leader for 77 years. Its long-term investment plan included a strong commitment to the South American region, especially Argentina. The Fenix Project presents a new challenge for GM Argentina, as it represents the first global model of National Industry. The project involves the construction of two new plants within the Chevrolet Industrial Complex, Alvear, Santa Fe Province.

FEATURES
Fire Protection Systems
The entire Body Shop and Powertrain areas will be protected, corresponding to the Body Manufacturing and Engine Manufacturing plants, respectively.
The fire protection system is comprehensive, including Constructive and Detail Engineering, the protection of the production hall, installation of ductile iron feeding pipes, the detection system, and integration with General Motors’ central control and alarm system. Nearly 40,000 m² are protected.
Piping Utilities Planta Body Shop
The installation of compressed air, cooling water, drinking water, and natural gas pipes was carried out. Cooling towers, pumps, and filters for the chilled water system were installed. The structure where robotic arms and welders are mounted was fabricated and assembled. Connections between production equipment and service mains were made. The provision included all documentation and procedures for the approval of the medium-pressure natural gas system with municipal and provincial authorities.
