What does “turnkey” mean at Vernassa?
It means Vernassa takes care of the whole project: engineering, study and design of the prevention, detection and suppression solutions; prefabrication and assembly of the installation; and training and commissioning of the system.
Which fire detection systems does Vernassa install?
Vernassa installs intelligent, aspiration, explosive-atmosphere, conventional and linear heat detection systems.
Which fire suppression systems does Vernassa install?
Vernassa installs water systems (sprinklers, pump rooms, monitors, hydrants and dry systems), foam systems (proportioners, bladder tanks, foam chambers and foam trucks, emulsifiers and eductors) and gas systems (CO2, FM-200, Argonite and Novec 1230), as well as new technologies such as Vortex, Stat-X and Ultra FOG.

What are bolted modular tanks and what advantages do they have over API tanks?
They are steel tanks assembled on site from standard-size steel sheets, using European technology and prefabricated at origin under ISO 9001. Compared with traditional API tanks they take less time to install, have a lower total cost, can be shipped by container or truck, need minimal maintenance and last between 30 and 50 years depending on the coating.
What risks are foam fire suppression systems used for?
They are used to protect the manufacture, storage and transport of large volumes of hazardous chemicals and flammable liquids. Applications include chemical industries, fuel storage tanks, airports, petrochemical plants, offshore platforms and vessels.
How are fire detection and suppression integrated?
A good integration between detection systems, fire alarm and suppression systems is key to identifying the incident at the right moment and extinguishing it, minimizing damage. Vernassa offers detection systems according to the type of risk to be protected.
What is the IRAM 3501 standard and why does it matter when hiring a fire protection installer?
It is the standard that regulates and certifies companies that design and install fire protection systems, and the requirements for them to have the technical and operational capacity to carry out projects. Vernassa holds the IRAM seal for design (3501-3) and for assembly (3501-4).
