Supression by Gas

Argonite

This system uses Argonite gas, which consists of the following natural gases: 50% nitrogen and 50% argon.

This gas acts reducing the oxygen concentration from a normal 21% to 10.5 -12%, it is considered a recommendable alternative for the replacement of Halón 1301, by not having any ozone depleting potential (ODP=0) and not contributing directly to the earth warming.

No toxicological hazard is attributed, and no toxic sub-product is produced when in contact with fire. These systems require high pressure cylinders for their storage and compared to Halon, they occupy 10 times more space.
