Supression by Water
Dry Systems
These systems are intended to supply great quantities of water on a large area, in a relatively short time.
These systems are also used for situations in which it is probable that thermal damages are produced in a relatively short period of time.
For these systems, open type sprinklers and drench valves are used. Vernassa´s solutions provide a range of valves FM approved and UL listed, which can be manual or automatically operated.
Actioning Systems
Hydraulic
Runs through a wet pilot line, which operates with the help of thermal detectors (sprinklers with thermal fuse).
Pneumatic
Runs through a dry pilot line that contains air pressure or nitrogen, which operates with the help of htermal detectors (sprinkles with thermal fuse) operating as a thermal detection device.
Electric
This system is used through the connection of the valve to a smoke, flame, heat , gas or any detection system, which activates the drench system.
Pre-action systems
These systems use closed sprinklers, pressurized with air or gas. A pre-action valve holds the water supply. This system is equipped with a supplementary detection system, whose function varies according to the preaction system.
The most commonly used are the pneumatic and electrical systems. These systems are used when it is important to prevent an acciden tal water discharge.
